How fast do the e-bikes go?
They can zip along at up to 20 miles per hour — which feels like a fun little breeze on your face, especially with your favorite tunes playing. You can pedal, use the throttle, or a mix of both. Totally up to you!

How long does the battery last?
On a full charge, our Scenic Spin e-bikes give you between 25 and 45 miles of riding, depending on how much you pedal versus using full electric power. That’s plenty of range for a full day of exploring the Erie Canal trail in Rochester, Pittsford, and Fairport—complete with scenic stops, local café visits, and maybe even a canal-side picnic.

Are the bikes heavy?
They are solid (about 75 pounds), but don’t worry — you won’t feel that weight while riding. These bikes are made to be smooth, stable, and super comfy with wide tires and built-in racks for your stuff.

Can we adjust the seat and handlebars?
Yes, for sure! Our bikes are designed to fit riders from around 5'2" to 6'2". You can easily adjust the seat height and handlebars so the ride feels just right for you.

What’s the throttle, and how does it work?
The throttle’s like a little magic boost — just twist the handle and you’re off! No pedaling needed. It’s perfect for easing into motion, climbing hills, or simply cruising with a smile (and no sweat).

Are your e-bikes legal to ride on the Erie Canal path?

Yes. Our e-bikes are Class II, which means they have pedal assist and a throttle but are limited to a top speed of 20 mph. This classification is allowed on the Erie Canal path and most local trails, so you can ride with confidence knowing you’re following the rules.

Is there anything I should know about safety before I ride?

Definitely! E-bikes are easy and fun to ride, but safety always comes first — especially if you're new to them or riding with little ones. Take a minute to get comfortable with the bike before heading out, ride at a pace that feels right for you, and stay alert on roads and at crossings.
